At Temple Sinai, before our children are even ready to begin Religious School, young families are having so much fun getting together each month for an M & M Shabbat and dinner or a holiday related activity.

Hand-in-hand you’ll see the “little ones” giggling, exploring and having fun at Temple Sinai. These are our youngest, already well on their way to learning Jewish traditions and making lasting friendships.

Our M & M (Munchkins and Mishpachah) Shabbat

Our M & M (Munchkins and Mishpacha) Shabbat is the bridge that connects little ones and their families to Jewish life at Temple Sinai. Led by chosen 6th and 7th graders of our Religious School, preschoolers are introduced to prayers and songs and enjoy games, stories, crafts and other activities planned especially for small children.

Afterwards our M & M families join the entire congregation as we all come together for Shabbat dinner. During the summer it may be an outdoor hot dog roast and S’more making or a potluck dinner and in the fall or winter it may be a traditional Shabbat dinner or a special Chanukah or Israeli celebration.

Joining Our Religious School

Our M & M families also love to join our Religious School families for some of their special programming including:

Pairing with the Religious School for special Shabbat programming is also a highlight. We’ve enjoyed Sports Shabbat, Teddy Bear Shabbat, Chocolate Shabbat and Dr. Seuss Shabbat, to name just a few.

Rabbi Boaz Marmon, our new Rabbi is a wonderful guitar player and singer, adding spirit and ruach to our pre-Shabbat gatherings at Temple Sinai. We welcome all types of families including interfaith families and we look forward to meeting your Mishpachah. Join us for a special Family High Holiday Service that is just right for children ages 4 through 8 and their family. Currently, we offer 50% off of our membership. Please contact the Temple Sinai Office at 856-829-0658 or to get more information.
